1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to all tutoring services provided by Meghan Kelly Tutoring.
By booking or attending tutoring sessions, parents, guardians and adult students agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. About Meghan Kelly Tutoring
Meghan Kelly Tutoring is an independent tutoring business providing online tuition for primary and secondary-aged students, including support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Lessons are delivered online via Zoom unless otherwise agreed.

3. Lesson Length
Standard tutoring sessions last 50 minutes unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Lessons begin and finish at the agreed scheduled times.

4. Payment
Payment is due within 24 hours of each completed lesson unless another arrangement has been agreed in advance.
Payment is made via a secure Monzo payment link.
If payment becomes overdue, future lessons may be paused until the outstanding balance has been settled.
Persistent late payment may result in tutoring being discontinued.

5. Cancellation Policy
A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required if a lesson needs to be cancelled or rescheduled.
Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged at the full lesson fee.
If Meghan Kelly Tutoring needs to cancel a lesson due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, every effort will be made to rearrange the lesson at a mutually convenient time.

6. Late Arrivals
If a student joins a lesson late, the lesson will still finish at the scheduled end time.
The full lesson fee remains payable regardless of the arrival time.

7. Attendance
Students are expected to attend lessons prepared and ready to learn.
Repeated missed lessons or frequent late arrivals may result in tutoring being discontinued.

8. Online Lessons
Students should:
Join lessons using a reliable internet connection.
Use a suitable device with a working microphone.
Join from a quiet environment where possible.
Have any required equipment ready before the lesson begins.
Reasonable efforts will be made to overcome technical issues, but occasional disruptions are unavoidable when tutoring online.

9. Parent or Guardian Responsibilities
For students under the age of 18:
A parent or guardian should book the lessons.
A parent or guardian should remain contactable throughout the lesson.
A parent or guardian should ensure the student has a suitable learning environment.
Parents should communicate any relevant changes that may affect tuition.
Parents do not need to remain in the room during lessons unless they wish to do so.

10. Student Expectations
Students are expected to:
Engage positively during lessons.
Communicate politely.
Follow reasonable instructions during teaching.
Persistent inappropriate behaviour may result in tuition ending.

11. Lesson Resources
Any lesson slides, worksheets, activities or other resources provided by Meghan Kelly Tutoring remain the intellectual property of Meghan Kelly Tutoring.
Resources are provided solely for the student's personal educational use.
They must not be copied, distributed, uploaded online, sold or shared with others without prior written permission.

12. Lesson Recordings
Where lessons are recorded, this will only take place with appropriate consent from the parent or guardian (and the student where appropriate).
The purpose of recordings may include:
Educational review
Quality assurance
Safeguarding
Training

13. Confidentiality
Information shared during tutoring will be treated confidentially.
However, confidentiality may be broken where required by law or where safeguarding concerns arise involving a child or vulnerable person.

14. Safeguarding
The safety and wellbeing of students is a priority.
Meghan Kelly Tutoring holds an Enhanced DBS certificate and is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment.
Any safeguarding concerns will be handled appropriately and, where necessary, shared with relevant authorities in accordance with safeguarding responsibilities.

15. Limitation of Liability
Every effort is made to provide high-quality tutoring.
However, Meghan Kelly Tutoring cannot guarantee specific examination results, grades or academic outcomes, as student progress depends on many factors including attendance, engagement and independent study.

16. Website
Reasonable efforts are made to ensure information on the website is accurate and up to date.
However, content may occasionally be updated or amended without prior notice.

17. Changes to Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time.
The latest version will always be published on the Meghan Kelly Tutoring website.

18. Complaints
If you have any concerns regarding tutoring services, these should first be raised by email.
Every effort will be made to resolve concerns fairly, professionally and promptly.

19. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in the United Kingdom unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection legislation.
